Responses
and reactions to treatment
During a course of treatment the majority of patients feel physical
changes as their body realigns. These may include a brief period
of stiffness or tiredness, but more often a feeling of well-being
and relief from stress.
Some people feel worse before they get better. It is important to
remember that while your body is adjusting to a more comfortable
alignment, the pattern of pain or sensations may change. You may
even temporarily develop new aches or pains or experience a reoccurrence
of previous pains, as the body "back-tracks" through the
course of the problem.
Just as it takes years to get the body into a dysfunctional state,
it can take a while to recover from this and teach the body new
habits. The effort always pays off!
